Rie Kugimiya is Taiga Aisaka's Japanese voice actor. She is often dubbed as the "Queen of Tsundere" because of her notable Tsundere roles.
Rie was nominated for Best Actress in Leading Role in the first Seiyu Awards for the role of Louise in "Zero no Tsukaima" and jointly won Best Actress in a supporting role with Mitsuki Saiga at the second Seiyu Awards. Kugimiya won Best Actress once again in the third Seiyu Awards for the role of Taiga Aisaka.
Roles[]
Some of Kugimiya's prominent roles include Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Happy in Fairy Tail, and Kagura in Gintama. However, because of her voicing of Tsundere lead characters in shows produced by JC Staff, such as Nagi (Hayate the Combat Butler!), Shana (Shakugan no Shana), Louise (The Familiar of Zero) and Aria H. Kanzaki (Aria the Scarlet Ammo), some of her fans have nicknamed her the "Queen of Tsundere", or "TsundeRie" for short. The "Shut up, Shut up, Shut up" line, which began under Shana, has been used by many of Kugimiya's tsundere roles over the years, including Taiga.
